About Chapter.
We are a tiny London startup who believe in small scale production and doing things right.
We aren’t big. We aren’t clever.
We are proud to be small. We focus on learning as we grow, allowing us to do things better. Our jackets are all 1 of 1. As unique and individual as the little people we are making them for. If you see something you like, make sure you sign up to our mailing list, to have exclusive access to the each Chapter when they drop. When they are gone, they are gone…
My name is Natasha, and I've been a Womenswear Designer for over 10 years, working for brands such as Burberry, Victoria Beckham and Erdem. It’s been an incredible experience and has taught me a huge amount about design and manufacturing at a luxury level, but working within the industry has also exposed me to the pace of fashion, often at the expense of the environment, which is unsustainable.
When I had my daughter Thea, almost 2 years ago, it gave me the natural opportunity to slow down, pause and reflect. It gave me a moment to think about what I wanted for the future, and also for the world in which Thea will grow up in.
It is my belief that a more circular approach to childrenswear is needed, particularly given the amount of garments our little ones go through (and the battering they take)! The purpose of Chapter is to create thoughtful pieces with a positive environmental and social impact.
We won't be following traditional fashion cycles. Kids don't need them! Instead we will be creating 'Chapters' that will be released, quite simply, when they are ready."
“The story started when I found a beautiful vintage quilt for my daughter – a couple of weeks later I picked up a pair of scissors and cut into it.”
